Weekly Update — Week ending 19 July 2026

TL;DR

Campaigns get signal-first personalisation — outreach timing and copy now reference live hiring signals so your emails land when the role is hot. Trigger variables Phase 2 adds a labelled toggle, token chips you can click to insert, blank-variable warnings on save, and fallback syntax so a missing field doesn't produce an empty sentence.

The sender identity footer is now opt-in, defaulting to off. No more placeholder text appearing in your emails unless you choose to include it.

People pages show email validity chips (verified/invalid/unknown) and an unsubscribed badge directly on the contact row, plus a new header-actions menu on person detail.

Desks gain a Cards/Table view toggle on the Companies tab, paginated cards (10 per page), clickable source chips linking to the original job ad, and sector classification in Table view. Hide vs Remove is now a clear distinction — hidden companies stay mapped but off your board.

The onboarding wizard now embeds a full desk setup with free Deep Research during signup, a business-context picker, and progress driven from real backend status.

A free ABN/company lookup tool is live at /tools/company-lookup — no login required.

Campaign Personalisation & Variables

  • Signal-first personalisation — Campaign emails now reference live hiring signals (role, timing, evidence) so your outreach is specific to what the company is doing right now.
  • Trigger variables Phase 2 — A labelled toggle turns trigger variables on or off per campaign. Token chips let you click to insert a variable, blank-variable warnings fire on save if a field has no value, and fallback syntax ({{variable|fallback text}}) means a missing field never produces an empty sentence.
  • Insert-variable menu fixed — The variable picker in the email editor was clipped by overflow and invisible on some screens. Now always visible.
  • Cleaner email body — The benchmark-reference paragraph is demoted to a hover tooltip, keeping the email body focused on your prospect.

Compliance

  • Sender footer is opt-in — The sender identity footer now defaults to off. Enable it in Campaign Settings if you want your business name and address appended. No more placeholder text or nag banners.

People Page

  • Email validity chip — Every contact row shows a coloured chip (verified, invalid, unknown) so you can see data quality at a glance without opening the record.
  • Unsubscribed badge — Contacts who have opted out show an unsubscribed chip on the row — no more accidentally re-enrolling someone.
  • Header actions menu — The person detail page now has a quick-actions menu in the header for common operations (enrol, find email, find phone).

Desk Companies Tab

  • Cards/Table view toggle — Switch between the signal-rich card layout and a compact table with one click. Your preference sticks.
  • Paginated cards — Cards now page at 10 per page instead of loading everything at once, so large desks stay fast.
  • Clickable source chips — SEEK, Indeed, and LinkedIn chips on hiring-signal cards now link to the original job ad.
  • Sector classification in Table view — The Table Industry column shows the AI-classified sector with a nudge to research empty rows.
  • Hide vs Remove — Hide keeps a company mapped but off your board; Remove fully unlinks it. The distinction is now clear in both label and behaviour.

Onboarding

  • Full desk setup in signup — The onboarding wizard now embeds the complete New Desk flow (seed, draft, confirm, live) so you have a working desk before you reach the dashboard.
  • Free research during setup — Deep Research runs at no credit cost during onboarding so your first desk is fully populated without spending credits.
  • Business-context picker — Choose which business context to base your desk on if you have more than one.
  • Real progress indicators — Wizard progress bars and status labels are driven by actual backend state, not timers.

Free Tool

  • ABN & company lookup — A free, no-login-required tool at /tools/company-lookup lets anyone look up an Australian company by name or ABN and see key details.

Scraping & Monitoring

  • Zero-result explanations — When a SEEK or Indeed scan returns nothing, the Scrape History drawer now tells you why (no matching roles, location mismatch, keyword too narrow) instead of just showing zero.
  • Scan Now does a full pull — The manual Scan Now button now runs a complete pull rather than an incremental diff, so you see everything the board has right now.
